Adam Driscoll

“Follow your dreams and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it! Anything is possible.”

Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 12, Adam Driscoll hasn’t let it slow him down – be it as a runner or a cyclist.

Driscoll was a competitive distance runner in high school and college before transitioning into cycling in 2007. His first serious foray into the sport came when he joined two other athletes on a 6,500-mile cross-country ride on fixed gear bikes to raise money and awareness for diabetes, and to help disabled children in Kenya. Their four-month adventure was featured in an award-winning documentary, “Adventures for the Cure: The Doc.”

In the arena of competitive cycling, he quickly advanced through the ranks on the strength of some impressive performances, moving from Category V (beginner) to Category III (experienced) status in less than one season.
